Amelia Island Artists Workshop announces their March line up of instructors. The classes will feature two very different and interesting artists:
Kevin Beck who works in a realistic style will be doing a three day "Pastel and Oil Landscape Painting" Workshop March 18 through the 20th.
Beck's workshop will be a plein air (working on-site outside) workshop held at the Fort Clinch State Park Visitor's Center. The cost for the workshop is $325. Kevin lives in the mountains of North Carolina. Known for the vibrancy and resonance of his palette, he sees and interprets the landscape in shades of teal, chartreuse and berry. As a colorist, viewers are transfixed by the depth and translucence of his work both in pastel and oil. He is a popular instructor with students from all over the USA in both plein air and studio painting. He is on the faculty of Cheap Joe's Art Stuff workshop artists. He and his wife Judi are frequent visitors to Amelia Island.
Beck will be also be the featured artist in a show at the Amelia SanJon Gallery to open
