Education includes instruction in various art forms from Bill Hendrix of St. Simons Island, GA, George Parrish of Jesup, GA, and outstanding teachers from the Savannah College of Art and Design and Armstrong State College. Credentials include a Bachelor of General Studies Degree from ASC with a focus in art. Honors include the Juror’s choice award from the ASC annual student art show.
The mixed media sculpture/mural and vessels feature found items such as beach fossils, stressed shell, and reef materials that want to be picked up and used in different ways. The vessels/urns were made to be the right size for burial urns.
The quiet listening and thinking time that comes with creating is highly valued. The artist resides on Amelia Island, Florida.
